About Pura Candidasa
Nestled on the eastern strip of Bali, this twin temple offers a glimpse into the country’s mythological roots, making it a must-visit cultural attraction to witness on your Bali trip. The intricate carvings on the temple wall tells the tale of Hariti, the Balinese Goddess of fertility to whom the temple is dedicated.
It was said that Hariti, who was initially infertile, later gave birth to ten children, earning the temple the alternate title of the Temple of Ten Children. Looking out at the lagoon below, the temple is known for its fantastic views as well, and can be a great place to catch a sunset from.
