Trekking is a high-energy activity, which tends to make one feel hungrier that usual. However, overeating while on a trek is strictly advised against. To maintain good levels of energy and to remain energetic, you should eat carbohydrate-rich foods like whole grains, porridge, bread, etc. Other foods to include are eggs, dry-fruits, and seasonal fruits.
Remember to keep yourself hydrated with 4-5 litres of water. You should avoid consuming alcohol, sugar-rich foods like chocolates, energy bars, and candies.
You will be provided with breakfast and dinner at the teahouse where you will be staying on the days of the trek. Lunch will be provided at the restaurants on the way while trekking. Breakfast usually consists of porridge, noodles, egg, and bread is included in both half-board and full board accommodation options.
Lunch is not included in the half-board option. In the full board option, meals generally include dal (lentils), curry, and vegetables. Boiled water will be provided at the teahouses. Cold drinks, beer, and other snacks are available at restaurants at an additional cost.

Here is the way you can get to Poon Hill.
-You first have to drive down to Pokhara from the Kathmandu airport as that is generally the starting point of the Poon Hill trek.
-From Pokhara, you drive for 1.5 hours to Nayapaul, which is the starting point of the trek.
-On the first day, you go from Nayapul to Birethanti and end the day at Tikhedhunga. You spend the night at a lodge.
-The next day, you ascend and pass the villages of Ullari and Banthanti.
-On the third day, you ascend to the highest point of Poon Hill Trekking- the Poon Hill and see a variety of peaks such as Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. On the same day, you trek back to Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu.
