Belgaum

Belgaum is a town in Karnataka's northwestern region, located in the southern part of the subcontinent. Near its borders lie the Indian states of Maharashtra and Goa. A distance of 502 kilometers separates it from Bangalore, 500 kilometers from Mumbai (Bombay) and 125 kilometers from Goa. The town is located at an elevation of 779 meters above sea level at the foothills of the Sahyadri range (Western Ghats).

Situated at the Western Ghats' base, Belgaum is known for its panoramic beauty and enjoys a cool climate throughout the year. With its lush green forests, rivers, and mountains, Belgaum is enchantingly beautiful and attracts tourists from across the country and abroad.

The climate here is pleasant all year round. The temperature in Belgaum falls to its lowest during winter, and the monsoon rains are almost continuous from June to September. If you are in Belgaum during April you may also witness a considerable number of hailstorms.
