The sanctuary takes its name from Bhadra river, its lifeline. It was declared a Project Tiger reserved. Forest department organizes Jeep Safari inside Bhadra Tiger Reserve. You can get a chance of spotting Tiger and Leopard as over 30 tigers and 20 leopards are based in Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. Take your binoculars along to spot elephants, black leopard, jungle cat, jackal, bonnet macaque and the Malabar giant squirrel.
