- Hawaii enjoys a tropical climate year-round, with temperatures ranging from 70°F to 85°F (21°C to 29°C). Pack light, breathable clothing, and don’t forget sunscreen!
- Hawaii Standard Time (HST) is 10 hours behind GMT and does not observe daylight saving time.
- The official currency is the US Dollar (USD). Credit cards are widely accepted, but it's advisable to carry some cash for small purchases.
- Stay hydrated, especially when hiking or exploring volcanoes. Mosquito repellent is recommended for areas near water.
- Tipping is customary in Hawaii, with 15-20% tip recommended for restaurant services. You can also tip hotel staff and tour guides.
- English is the primary language spoken, though you'll also hear Hawaiian words and phrases used. Aloha means "hello" or "goodbye," and Mahalo means "thank you."
