The World’s End Horton Plains is a very popular tourist attraction in the Horton Plains region. The Pedro tea factory dates back to 1885. The tour of the factory involves a guide taking you through the intricate process of tea making from the cultivation of the tea plant to the harvesting of the leaves and the gradation and processing into final packaging.
There is also a shopping section where you can shop for your favourite grade and flavour of tea. You can also get involved in the tea leaf plucking process and try your hand at plucking fresh tea leaves right off the plant in the scenic tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya.

Since Nuwara Eliya has no train station,your trip to see the famous tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya by train will be through a place called Nanuoya which is at a distance of 6 Kms from Nuwara Eliya. One can easily find cabs or tuk-tuks to reach Nuwara Eliya from Nanuoya train station.
