Vishramgad is also known as Pattya Fort or Patta Fort. It became famous after Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj rested with his army at Vishramgad. Later Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj renamed the fort to Vishramgad. Vishramgad is located towards the eastern side of Kalsubai Peak range along with other forts like Aundh, Bitangad. Base village Patte wadi is a small village with 30 - 35 houses. Historic cannon can be seen at the base village of Pattewadi.
You will be meeting up at a common point in Sarasbaug, Pune from where your journey to the base village will start in a non- AC bus. Breakfast and tea will be served on board as you reach the base village. A quick introduction and instructions will be given as you reach the location after which the trekking will start. You will reach the top till 12:30 PM as the trek is 3 hours one way. As you reach the top, you will be exploring the fort as well be doing the lunch which you have to bring by yourself. Your descent will start till 2 PM. As you reach the base village, your return journey to Pune will start and you will be served the evening tea en-route.
