- Ladies may wear swimsuit just in seashores and pools. As you step out of the seaside, make a point to cover yourselves.

- Arabic is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

- Oman is a culturally rich and traditional country. When visiting mosques or public places, wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees. Women may need a headscarf at religious sites.
- During the holy month of Ramadan, eating, drinking, or smoking in public during daylight hours is prohibited.

- In Oman, the weekend falls on Friday and Saturday. Some businesses and attractions may have reduced hours on Fridays.

- Oman's official currency is the Omani Rial (OMR). Credit cards are widely accepted in urban areas, but it's advisable to carry cash when traveling to remote regions.
