  1. For the trek your good old track pants will see you through and keep you comfortable while walking up. Normal tees and tops will suffice in the daytime for the recommended months. 
  2. Do keep one jacket as Dzukou can unexpectedly get cold at night. For the most part though a sweatshirt will keep you comfortable if you’re visiting in May to June or August to September months. 
  3. A raincoat is very handy in this region as it is prone to unexpected rainfall. 
  4. A sturdy pair of shoes is essential to trek.
  5. Dry fit trekking pants or clothing that dries up easily is also a good idea as when you set out to explore the valley on Day 2 there are streams of water that you must splash about and play in! So, clothing that dries easily will let you enjoy without worrying.

What are things one must carry before going to Dzukou valley trek?

  • Warm clothes: Since the valley lies along the hills at an altitude of8044.62 ft, you might experience severe winds and colder climatic conditions. 
  • Layerable clothing: The temperature tends to change with altitude, thus make sure that you carry clothes which can be layered.
  • Water bottle: Bringing a personal water bottle is always a plus.
  • Extra batteries, charger, and powerbanks for your mobile phones.
  • Insect repellent, lip balm, sun screen, body lotion and sanitary items.
  • Snacks which are rich in protein like energy bars and nuts.
